I am convinced that liberalization of visa regime will become possible by no later than the beginning of October, - respective statement was made by European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn after his meeting with Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
According to him, Georgia has successfully implemented all commitments prescribed by the Visa Liberalization Action Plan (the VLAP) and now its up to the EU to act..
"We spare no effort to ensure this and huge majority of member states as well as European Parliament supports this idea, because there is a broad understanding and acknowledgement that Georgia has fulfilled all its conditions without and therefore it is up to the European Union now to deliver on its promises and if there is some additional kick necessary I will do my best," - Prime Minister stated in his conversation with journalists.

European Commissioner also addressed the need of holding the Parliamentary elections in open and transparent environment. He noted that Prime Minister - the leader of the ruling party had reasserted his readiness and willingness to ensure holding of Parliamentary elections in the maximally fair environment.
In his conversation with press, Prime Minister addressed the importance of developing economic partnership with the EU. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Georgia successfully implements the reforms envisaged by the Association Agreement.
"European integration and reforms embraced within the frames of Association Agreement represent priority areas for us. We are gradually progressing on this path. We are implementing important reforms. European Commissioner Hahn outlined in his speech the importance of economic partnership with the member-states of European Union, since development of economic partnership ensures greater security throughout the region - this is reflected in European Neighborhood policy. We also discussed new initiatives, including establishing of European School that will have regional significance," - Giorgi Kvirikashvili noted.
He thanked Johannes Hahn for the personal contribution in the process of Georgia's Visa Liberalization and expressed hope that visa free regime will be introduced by this autumn.
