As per the Government's decision, renewal of the general plan on land use of Bakuriani will be conducted while taking into consideration the settlement having potential to become a resort - Didi Mitarbi - respective statement was made by the Prime Minister of Georgia during the Cabinet Session.
Pursuant to Giorgi Kvirikashvili, one of the most important aspects of the Government's 4-point reform plan is ensuring proper spatial planning throughout the country. This is particularly important for the purpose of constructing touristically attractive resorts throughout settlements and ensuring proper spatial and territorial planning.
"We start drafting the plan of use of land. Development of Bakuriani in context of land use is almost finalized. Unfortunately, throughout last years, development had a spontaneous character. we plan to undertake important projects, including embracing one of the most important directions of the Government's 4-point reform plan - spatial planning and infrastructural modernization of Georgia. To avoid spontaneous development in this direction and eliminate the chance of unplanned use of forests, we have to create logical development framework," - Prime Minister stated.
