"I am glad to be visiting Georgia prior to the NATO Warsaw Summit, since I am well aware that joining the Alliance is one of your top priorities. We respect the reforms that you've been instituting, the efforts you are making to make sure your election is as fair and accountable and transparent as possible," - with these words the US Department of State John Kerry started the meeting with Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili.

Pursuant to John Kerry, the US Government prides itself on its contribution to the development of Georgia and recognizes challenges faced by the country.

"We are proud to be contributing to the process of defining the future of your country. Currently the US contribution is 4.5 billion USD. Our tireless work in the security area that represents one of the important components of strategic partnership," - US Secretary of State indicated.
Main aspects of US-Georgia strategic partnership were discussed during the meeting. The outcomes of 25 years of bilateral partnership as well as perspectives of deepening partnership were highlighted. It was hoped that the agenda of US-Georgia Strategic Partnership Charter would further reinforce development of relations.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili and John Kerry discussed Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic integration processes and indicated progress achieved in this regard. According to the Prime Minister, during the Warsaw NATO Summit, Georgia expects recognition of progress attained in view of its North Atlantic integration.

Reforms embraced in view of strengthening of democratic values and promoting economic development in Georgia were discussed. Importance of the US involvement in the reform process was highlighted.

The conversation also touched upon the Parliamentary elections scheduled in October 2016 as well as need of ensuring free, transparent and peaceful environment.

Prime Minister thanked John Kerry once again for his visit to Georgia and assessed this trip as a gesture of unwavering support of the US to Georgia and partnership between the countries.
