EFTA and Georgia have taken a leap forward together today by signing the free trade agreement: this means more trade, more investment, more tourism and more Georgian wine in EFTA countries - with these words Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili addressed the guests gathered at dinner dedicated to signing the Free Trade Agreement between EFTA and Georgia.

Prime Minister thanked Switzerland for hosting Georgian delegation and elaborated on the new partners of Georgia in terms of trade.
"Generally in such receptions I would say a few words and end with a toast. But seeing as EFTA includes four different sovereign nations, I would like to propose four toasts: one for each of Georgia's new free trade partners.
First, our hosts: Switzerland. Eternally the diplomatic broker, Switzerland has been instrumental in promoting peaceful resolution of the conflicts in Georgia. Today we cooperate in the fields of culture, environment, tourism, and of course business. I look forward to the Georgian-Swiss Business Forum tomorrow. A first toast to Switzerland!

Next, to Liechtenstein. Georgia-Liechtenstein relations are beginning to blossom with just last week the first official visit of a Georgian delegation to your country. There is great potential for our co-operation in economy, tourism, regional development and education. A second toast to Liechtenstein!
Third, to Norway. Norway has been an important partner to Georgia the energy field, but our relations span well beyond this. Norway is a pioneer in supporting populations in Georgia's occupied territories and has importantly assisted our reform efforts in the judiciary and education sectors. A third toast goes to Norway!
Fourth, to Iceland. We have a very strong interest in deepening business ties with Iceland notably through the set-up of Georgia-Iceland business forums, to bring together our business communities. Of course, we cannot make a toast to Iceland - however - without a small mention of your football team's historic performance. Congratulations Iceland and good luck tonight!

Finally, of course, we can't end without a toast to Georgia, my beautiful country, and to the renewed friendship that Georgia and EFTA share. To a bright future together!" - Prime Minister stated.
