Another five-star hotel "Castello Mare" meeting the international standards was opened tin Adjara region.

Prime Minister attended opening ceremony of Castello Mare Hotel and Wellness Resort. Giorgi Kvirikashvili visited newly opened hotel and addressed participants f the event. He hoped that 25 million USD business project will atfoster development of tourism industry and create new employment opportunities for local residents. "This is a completely beautiful and unique resort and recreational complex that perfectly fits in this beautiful and historic area. This complex has given particular significance to this gorgeous landscape. More than 25 million USD had been invested to build the new hotel, but this is not the end and Mr. Soso Orjonikidze has very ambitious plans concerning the development of the adjacent area. It is noteworthy that Mr. Orjonikidze earned his fortune abroad but decided to invest its large patrt in his home country and he continues to invest", Prime Minister indicated.

He further elaborated on projects ongoing in Adjara region and introduced the Government's reform plan to the attendees.
"Number of beautiful projects are being implemented in Adjara. This region is being altered on a daily basis and this has crucial importance for the tourism development and not only. Batumi becomes business city and business hub and, trust me, this lifts the importance of this region to a whole another level. We are implementing numerous important projects throughout Adjara, including development of Upper Adjara resorts, Goderdzi mountain resort and we have signed number of contracts concerning construction of important hotel resorts that will be located in Goderdzi resort. In the near future we will start construction of Khulo-Zarzma road that will have significant impact on tourism development and social well-being of local residents," - Prime Minister indicated.
Pursuant to him, the Government has ambitious 4-year infrastructure modernization plan that will be finalized by the end of 2020.
"In three years the first phase will be finalized in Anaklia. The project aims at creation of the first deep sea port in Georgia that will elevate the transit potential of the country to a qualitatively new level. In the coming days we will sign the contract enabling investors to start construction works," - Giorgi Kvirikashvili indicated.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of tourism development activities. According to him, Kokhta-Mitarbi development project has already begun in Bakuriani, which is the example of the state and private sector cooperation. Pursuant to the Prime Minister, the Alps sledge coaster will be launched in Bakuriani in a month - it is new entertainment complex, which will be very important for the development of summertime activities.

In conclusion, the Prime Minister talked about Tetnuldi development plan and said that the construction of the resort will be completed next year. He expressed the hope that this will be one of the unique resorts uniting cultural heritage, unique museums, medieval castles and the best ski slopes.

"A significant increase in the number of tourists was recorded in the last two months -more than 25 per cent growth, which is really unprecedented. We see the growth of tourism, the influx of tourists in Georgia. This means first and foremost that of the residents and entrepreneurs involved in tourism will have more income, "- Prime Minister noted.
Giorgi Kvirikashvili stressed the importance of his visit to Switzerland planned on June 27-29, where a meeting with the Ministry of Swiss Mountain Development will be held.
"On Monday I will travel to Switzerland where I will have the Meeting with the Ministry of the Swiss Mountain development. This visit was planned specifically for this meeting, where we can begin drafting Mta-Tusheti strategic development plan with the Swiss experts. This will be a comprehensive plan for the preservation of cultural heritage, "- said the Prime Minister.
"We have to turn our backs on negative and look at the positive developments, we have to think of our fellow citizens to ensure their comfort, we have to think about a better future and to unite our country around these goals. We will do this together. We will give a new impetus to the development of this country, "- Giorgi Kvirikashvili said.

The complex located in attractive region consists of 90 rooms. It also offers indoor and outdoor pools, a spa centre, restaurants, open bar on the terrace and by the coastline. The hotel also has a 200-person conference hall. Hotel accommodates fitness cetre tennis court, billiard, 4-line bowling and diving school as well as laser shooting gallery. The tourists will reach the coastline using the modern hillside tram.
