Within the frames of 2015 Program of National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia, the first stage of Akaki Khorava State Drama Theatre in Senaki was finalized. the rehabilitation works was visited by the Prime Minister today.
Prime Minister noted with content that an important job has been performed in terms of preservation of Georgian cultural heritage. He also expressed hope that this will revive cultural activities in Senaki.
Reconstruction of Senaki State Theatre is implemented with the financial support of the charity foundation "Cartu Fund". More than 1 million GEL has been allocated to rehabilitate the historical building.
Primary rehabilitation works have been performed within the frames of the first stage of construction works in 2015: the roof has been renewed, drainage system has been installed. Currently, the fortification works and organization of theater infrastructure are being implemented.
The building will be completely rehabilitated in 2017.
