Restoration of Marula tradition in Megrelia has commended - Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili attended the horse race Marula 2016. The event served as a trigger for bringing Megrelian horse riding tradition back to life. It was organized by the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti regional administration and Senaki Municipality. Horse riders from all over Georgia participated in the event.
Giorgi Kvirikashvili thanked organizations and participants of the event for their contribution in revitalization of gore riding traditions. He hoped that Seaki will become one of the horse riding centers in Georgia. Alongside with horse related performances, Georgian wrestling tournament was held.
The samples of handicraft and agricultural products were also exhibited. Prime Minister visited the corners of the regional municipalities.
Government officials and members of Parliament, as well as representatives of local government attended the event.
