Innovative Business Support Program “Startup Georgia“ to be launched Print Version

Within the frames of the Government's 4-point reform plan, the innovative business support Program "Startup Georgia" has been launched.
Tomorrow Prime Minister will present the Program in the Techno-Park at 14:00.

The first Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitry Kumsishvili, the head of Partnership Fund David Saganelidze, Chair of the Georgia's Innovations and Technology Agency Irakli Kashibadze will attend presentation.
As a result of implementing the program the entrepreneurial spirit will be fostered in Georgia, number of startups will be launched and the community will obtain own income source.
During the first stage of implementation of the Program the state will allocate 11 million GEL to fund innovative and high-tech startups. For the purpose of subsidizing even more enterprises in the future, the Program budget may increase to up to 35 million GEL.
The Program is coordinated by Partnership Fund and Georgia's Innovations and Technology Agency.

Any citizen or group of citizens of Georgia having the innovative, promising and sustainable business idea in need of initial funding may participate in the Program.
The call for applications will start on June 17, 2016 till July 31, 2016. The form of application, rules for filling the application and detailed information concerning the Program will be available at specially designated web-page www.startup.gov.ge. Relevant services will be provided to Program participants at the Techno-Park, where the front-office of the Program will be accommodated and individuals will be able to obtain information about the Program at one-stop-shop. For the purpose of provision of better information to those interested, hot line will be operating. Projects will be selected through competition.
