Prime Minister conducted a meeting with the pre-election delegation of the NDI Print Version

Prime Minister urges international organizations to send more observers to Georgia to scrutinize the electoral process - Giorgi Kvirikashvili said at the meeting with the pre-election delegation of NDI. The delegation is inspecting the pre-election environment.

The conversation touched upon the process of preparation for the elections and the current political situation in the country.

Head of the Government noted that the standard of the pre-election period in Georgia has significantly improved and important steps towards democracy has been taken.
Giorgi Kvirikashvili reasserted to the members of NDI pre-election delegation members that the government is ready to provide democratic, free and transparent environment for the Parliamentary elections.

The Prime Minister also briefed the delegation on reforms in terms of media pluralism, ownership rights and independence of the judiciary.

During the next 4 days, the delegation of NDI will observe the preparations for the elections, the general political environment and the factors, which could affect the electoral process. By the end of the visit, the delegation will provide the pre-election assessment document. The meeting was attended by former Assistant Secretary of State Michael Posner, a former member of the Polish Sejm and the former defense minister Janusz Onyshkevych, NDI's resident director in Georgia Laura Thornton, NDI's Parliamentary Program Manager Tamara Sartania, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Janelidze, State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration David Bakradze and the Speaker and the Foreign Relations Committee, Tedo Japaridze.
