Pursuant to him, the process of planting of grapevines on Meskheti terraces is a results of public-private partnership.
"This process exemplifies the public-private partnership. Giorgi Natenadze who initiated the project was preceded by the patriotic actions demonstrated by the local residents - their attempts to preserve these varieties of grapevines. Jighaura forestry, where sufficient amount of work was performed, is also noteworthy. Cartu Fund allocated more than 20 million GEL to transfer this farm to the Government of Georgia free of charge. This forestry preserved more than 460 varieties of grapevines and they will become fully available to all Georgian farmers wishing to develop traditional, authentic Georgian grapevines," - Giorgi Kvirikashvili noted.

Vardzia was provided with the goods from this village - with the support of the private sector we start the process of its rehabilitation. "TBC Group" and Company "Arsi" are engaged in the project and we are restoring the cave curved winepresses with their aid. The planning process of restoration of Vardzia complex is based on scientifically approved methods and with the participation of international experts.
