Prime Minister of Georgia attended the official reception dedicated to the Republic Day of Azerbaijan and congratulated Azerbaijani people on their national holiday - Republic Day. In his speech Giorgi Kvirikashvili emphasized the importanceaof partnership and friendship between the countries. Pursuant to the Prime Minister, Georgia and Azerbaijan are bound by common cultural values.
"I am confident that this storied friendship and trustworthy partnership will continue to develop in various fields for the benefit of our countries and people.

Being able to speak of a country's independence and celebrate its success is certainly no small feat. In Georgia as in Azerbaijan, what we celebrate on such occasions is the courage of those who came before us and fought to build a sovereign state. Thanks to their courage, we and our fellow citizens enjoy a better lifetoday.

This year, Georgia celebrates25 years since regaining its own independence. These 25 years have not been without challenges - we've come a long way from where we started our journey. But it is important to remember that it is precisely the burden of past - which Georgia and Azerbaijan share - that has pushed our people ever further in their determination to seek a free future," - Giorgi Kvirikashvili noted in his speech.

Representatives of executive and legislative branches of government, diplomats and representatives of civil society attended the ceremony held on behalf of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of Azerbaijan in Georgia.
