Governments of Georgia and China are ready to conclude Free Trade Agreement in a timely manner. The Memorandum of Understanding on "Acceleration of China-Georgia Free Trade Agreement Negotiations between the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and Ministry of Commerce of People's republic of China".

Today at the Administration of the Government of Georgia, Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili hosted Vice Prime Minister of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Zhang Gaoli, who, ex officio, also chairs the Committee on Silk Road Restoration Project "One Belt - One Road". Upon termination of the meeting, the government representatives of China and Georgia signed the Cooperation Agreement and Memoranda of Understanding.

Chinese government continues supporting Georgia's healthcare reform - Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation between the Governments of Georgia and China was signed today. The agreement envisages allocation of the aid from China to Georgia in an amount of 60 million Yuan (around 9.1 million USD). Said funds will be directed to improve the health condition of the population in Georgia. Amelioration of medical infrastructure through consolidation of outpatient and inpatient facilities, crisis intervention center and rehabilitation department for children and adults in two Georgian regions is envisaged.
Today Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and Ministry of Commerce of China was signed. In accordance with the document, Trade and Investment Council aimed at exchange of entrepreneurs, attracting investors and trade development will be created in China and Georgia. Secretaries encompassing public and private sector representatives of both countries will be set up under the umbrella of the Council.
