Irreversible process of empowering rural Georgia has been launched. This is vitally important, since the strength of the country is dependent on the level of development of rural Georgia, - Prime Minister noted in his speech at the presentation of alcoholic beverages plant of „BOLERO & COMPANY, LTD" and "GRUZVINPROM, LTD" in Gurjaani.
Pursuant to him, fostering development of agriculture is one of the top priorities for the government. Through number of important projects implemented during the last few years, more than 1000 enterprises were reequipped and new enterprises were established.

"Winery has always been one of the most important industries for Georgia. It has preserved Georgian identity till today and hence it is vitally important to ensure development of this area. I am glad that this enterprise was opened. Throughout last years, we have achieved major success - during the last 3 years 6 thousand hectares of vineyards have been planted. This is a perfect indication of reinforcement of rural Georgia. This is a result of a coherent policy employed by the government. During the last 3 yearswine industry has produced more than 400 million GEL for the Georgian families, including for those residing in Kakheti, Racha-Lechkhumi and other regions that demonstrate growing dynamics of engagement in wine industry and hopefully it will be maintained in the future as well," - Prime Minister stated and noted that existence of affluenthouseholds in the rural areas is a necessary precondition of the strength of the country.
Pursuant to Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the government will pay particular attention to the aspect of trade. Special institute fostering export has already been established and it will become operational in the near future. Tens of millions of special resources have been allocated to foster export of Georgian wine. Pursuant to the Prime Minister, diversification of markets for Georgian wine is necessary and this process has been ongoing throughout past several years.

"Traditional markets, such as Russia are important to us. However, we are expanding to new markets, including Commonwealth of Independent States and China. Having Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement with the EU enables us to increase brand awareness of Georgian wine. Sales of Georgian wine in the USA are also growing and as a result of consistent policy adopted by our government, we will achieve diversification of the markets for Georgian wine," - Prime Minister noted.
Head of the government also elaborated on his visit in Bordeaux. Prime Minister considers that allocation of special place in the Museum of Wine Civilizations of Bordeaux that was opened on May 31 to Georgia is truly remarkable fact. Next year whole season will be dedicated to Georgian wine and wine industry.
"Georgia will be given an opportunity to represent Georgian wine industry as a cradle of world wine civilization. It is a great honor that the President of France and Mayor of Bordeaux outline that Georgia is a cradle of wine industry. This is a great accomplishment," - Prime Minister noted in his speech and thanked Minister of Agriculture, Georgian winemakers, representatives of Schuchmann-Wines and other companies as well as diplomatic missions.

Prime Minister recalled that in 2000 he first remembered Georgian hall "Georgia - cradle of wine civilization" while visiting Vinopolis in London and the fact that this given was asserted in Europe for the first time. This was a result of great efforts of Levan Gachechiladze and GVS. Giorgi Kvirikashvili is convinced that greater success is still ahead of us and thanks to the private initiatives, Georgia will be able to become one of the most respectable and recognizable wine country, since many people still do not know this fact.
Head of the government thanked Georgia church for preserving and disseminating the ancient Georgian wine makingtraditions.
"Preserving the authenticity is crucial and Georgian church is working hard for this purpose. I would like to thank you for this," - Prime Minister addressed the Bishops present at the presentation of the factory.
Head of the government also thanked the management of "Bolero" Pursuant to Giorgi Kvirikashvili, government is guided by the principle that state shall not compete with the private sector. Privatization of the previously state-owned factory is a reflection of this principle.

Prime Minister is convinced that the company will spare no effort to raise awareness on its activities as well as Georgian wine industry worldwide.
Prime Minister visited newly established enterprise and tasted wine and brandy produced by the company.
„Bolero & Company" was founded in 2012. It started its activities on the market of cognac spirits and occupied leading position on the export market. Currently company successfully exports wine and brandy to Ukraine, Russia and China.
