State Program for the job seekers Print Version

2016-05-27

The government discussed the state program on preparing and retraining as well as increasing qualification of the job seekers.

Pursuant to the Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili noted that this is an indispensable part of the government's 4-point reform plan. Minister of Labor, Healthcare and Social Protection David Sergeenko presented the project to the Prime Minister and members of the Cabinet.
"Program has 4 distinctive qualities: primarily, it is not a mere mediation between the potential employer and the job seeker. The offered model rather focuses on public and private partnership that encompasses several underpinning factors: namely, the potential employer will take active part in retraining of the employees through own educational centers. State will be actively engaged in the process.

In our opinion, the program will be very successful and it fully complies with the 4-point strategic reform plan of the government," - Sergeenko noted.
The Program aims at increasing competiveness of the job seekers in professions that are highly demanded on the job market (they will be professionally prepared, retrained and enrolled in internship programs) and fostering employment of job seekers.
