Prime Minister, alongside with the President of Georgia and the Parliament Speaker held a reception to celebrate 25th anniversary of restoration of independence of Georgia. Giorgi Kvirikashvili once again congratulated whole nation and compatriots living abroad as well as soldiers participating in the international missions on national holiday.

Pursuant to him, adoption of Act of the Restoration of State Independence of Georgia was the most important historical event that enabled Georgia to achieve its true goal and divert to the new route of development. Prime Minister honored the memory of the heroes fallen for their homeland.
"25 years is a small and at the same time, a large portion of a state history. It is a short period of time for a country that had been deprived of its statehood to stand back on its own feet. Nonetheless, this period turned out to be a long haul involving many events - blood shredded by out compatriots, occupied territories - this became the price Georgia had to pay for its statehood. I would like to commemorate the heroes fallen for Georgia," - Prime Minister stated.

Pursuant to the Prime Minister, Georgia moves forward in giant steps, successfully passing the route of European and Euro-Atlantic integration and contributes to the global security.
"Notwithstanding its moderate size, Georgia has every characteristic to enter the European family and become its full-fledged member with own traditions and culture. I believe in the future of Georgia! I believe that Georgia will be united and we will live in unified, strong and democratic country with our Abkhazian and Ossetian brothers and sisters," - Prime Minister noted in this speech.

Representatives of executive and legislative branches of government as well as diplomats and various civil sectors attended the celebratory reception.
