First of all, let me congratulate everyone on 20th anniversary of "Baku-Supsa-Ceyhan Energy Corridor" that gave rise to the strategic partnership between the two countries, - with these words Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili started the meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Artur Rasizade.

Prime Ministers reviewed the main issues of Azerbaijani-Georgian relations and emphasized the future prospects for enhancing cooperation.

The conversation touched upon the intensive dynamics of cooperation in numerous areas. Growing potential in various fields including trade, economy, energy and logistics was highlighted. The sides also elaborated on the specific projects that are implemented jointly by Georgia and Azerbaijan. They also discussed the significance and role of the two countries in a view of execution of international energy and transit projects.

Particular attention was paid to the standing of the East-West Energy Corridor. It was recalled that 20 years ago, Azerb, aijan and Georgia cosigned the agreement on contruction of Baku-Supsa corridor on March 8, 1996. Said agreement paved the way to the East-West Energy Corridor of strategic importance and fostered stable and peaceful development of Georgia and Azerbaijan.

Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Energy Kakha Kaladze. Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development dimitry Kumsishvili, Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Natig Aliyev, President of "SOCAR" - state oil company of Azerbaijan Republic Rovnag Abdulayev attended the meeting at the Administration of the Government of Georgia.
