So far, Bidzina Ivanishvili has taken no part in putting together a new Georgian Dream team, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili commented for the press during his visit to London.

The Head of Government pointed out that Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder of Georgian Dream, enjoys much authority both in the Georgian Dream political union and in Georgia as a whole. Unsurprisingly, then, he may be consulted on the party's future development.

"So far, he has taken no part in putting together a new team. In the nearest future, we will introduce new faces that have been selected by the party's leaders in a very transparent process. The process of selection was held in full compliance with international standards and involved a series of interviews, with many young people selected as a result. Many have a keen interest in joining Georgian Dream and its new team which will consist of old and new members," the Prime Minister stated, adding that, if selected Georgian Dream's new leader, he will make sure that those who doubt Georgia's foreign policy trajectory are not on board.

The Prime Minister also answered a question about informal governance, emphasizing that the Georgian Government is independent in the decision-making process, and that Georgian Dream is in the clear in this regard.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili also commented on Paata Burchuladze's entry into politics, pointing out that the more political actors are out there, the more competitive the environment will become.

"I believe that Georgian Dream is peerless and enjoys an immense advantage, and the election will confirm this," Giorgi Kvirikashvili said.
