Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili congratulated veterans on the Victory Day over fascism and hosted them at the celebratory dinner dedicated to the 71st anniversary of the victory.
"This is an example of unprecedented heroism of tens of millions of people who sacrificed own lives to give the chance of peaceful life to the future generations and avoid fascism. We cherish the memory of those who sacrificed their lives and we have to demonstrate particular attention to those compatriots who are next to us. The Government has elaborated a special financial support package, however, this is not enough and we will spare no effort to cooperate with them via number of programs and packages. These people stay youthful and preserve determination to contribute to their country. We have to enable them to do that," - Prime Minister noted during his meeting with the veterans.
