It is our duty to cherish the memory of all those people who sacrificed own life and health in other to give the chance of peaceful life to the future generations, - Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili declared during his visit to the Vake Park, where he put a wreath near the tomb of Unknown Soldier thus marking the 71st anniversary of victory over the fascism.

The Head of the Government congratulated veterans on the day of victory over fascism and noted that appreciation of their heroism is a duty of the state.
"This is an example of unprecedented heroism of tens of millions of people akin to which nobody can reminisce. As a result of this greatest sacrifice, stopping of fascism became an achievable task. I cherish all those who sacrificed their lives and those who are still next to us. It is the duty of the Government, to demonstrate the gratitude that we all feel towards them," - Giorgi Kvirkashvili stated.
Prime Minister was joined by the members of the Cabinet at the Vake Park. He also visited the photo exhibition dedicated to the WWII.
