Former Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili outlined the status of the government's initiative to provide accommodations to IDP families. He also announced that an additional 304 IDP families will receive free accommodations.

"I would like to remind you that in 2012, the IDP budget was GEL 25 million. Next year it will be GEL 85 million. This money will be used for building new houses and buying apartments for IDPs as well as for the Village House Program. The Ministry of Refugees also intensified the "Legalizing the Spaces Lawfully Owned by the IDPs" Project, which required the ministry to legalize accommodations for 400 IDP families in 10 months. As of today, more than 10,400 IDP families own real estate, and this process continues," stated former Prime Minister Garibashvili.
