The village Tskhaveri in Kaspi Municipality will be supplied with power from today after 22-year pause, - newly constructed power distributing network was today visited by the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili with the minister of energy Kakha Kaladze. The Prime Minister discussed the current problems of the village with the local people and promised their gradual solution. "It is difficult to imagine that in the 21st century people live without power supply. For ten years they made people live in illusion as if everything was all right. Our Government was left with darkened villages where people were not supplied with power for years; they did not have water and road. At the end of the next year all the villages that are without power will be supplied with it. We do not give false promises", - the Prime Minister stated.

Electrification of village Tskhaveri was done within the project "light to every village". Electrification process of villages without power started in 2013 in Georgia for which 8 million GEL was allocated in total. For today electrification of 13 villages is completed. Works are actively ongoing in 9 villages. In the nearest future power network will be started in 5 villages. At the same time project works are ongoing in Mutso for electrification and construction of hydro power plant.
