With financial support from the US Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), the Border Police of Georgia's Interior Ministry received trucks and fuel carriers to enhance the capability of the country's land border defense.

These vehicles, worth over 2.74 million GEL, will significantly bolster logistics along the borders by contributing to border guard rotation and supplying border sectors with provisions and technology.

The US Embassy and Defense Threat Reduction Agency continues actively supporting the Georgian Border Police by enhancing its capabilities, namely with a view to improving infrastructure and providing modern means for surveilling state borders.

In 2020, 4 border sectors were built with support from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
