Status of Senior and Lead Teachers have been assigned to special ones from January 2021 and they become eligible for a supplement according to their status from the end of the current month.
- Amount of the supplement depends on the status of the special teacher and number of pupils taught.
✅ Amount of the supplement to the base salary of a Senior Teacher is calculated as follows:
- If teaching one pupil with special needs - 370 GEL;
- If teaching two pupils with special needs - 420 GEL;
- If teaching three pupils with special needs - 470 GEL;
- If teaching four pupils with special needs - 520 GEL;
- If teaching five or more pupils with special needs - 570 GEL.
✅ Amount of the supplement to the base salary of a Lead Teacher is calculated as follows:
- If teaching one pupil with special needs - 550 GEL;
- If teaching two pupils with special needs - 650 GEL;
- If teaching three pupils with special needs - 750 GEL;
- If teaching four pupils with special needs - 850 GEL;
- If teaching five or more pupils with special needs - 950 GEL.
✅ It is worth noting that the process of a pay raise for teachers has been progressing without interruptions. All teachers will have their wages and salaries increased from January 2021 (with 100 GEL each).
- Supplement will be paid to teachers permanently living in high terrain regions in the volume of no less than 35% of the base salary rate due;
- Average salary of teachers has increased by 236% since 2012.
