A modern sports complex that meets international standards and can accommodate 3,400 spectators was built in Batumi - the works are in the final stage.
The sports complex, which occupies an area of approximately 23,000 square meters, will include sections for various types of sports:

  • Aerobic and artistic gymnastics
  • Wrestling
  • Dancesport
  • Chess
  • Taekwondo
  • Georgian martial arts
  • Boxing

A universal convertible hall will also be created.
Athletes will be able to train in a modern sports complex instead of a dilapidated building.
The sports complex will be adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities.
At this stage, interior and exterior decoration works, as well as the installation of lighting, heating and cooling, and security systems are underway at the sports complex. An outdoor parking lot will also be created.
It should be noted that the development of sports tourism is actively underway in Adjara: The construction of a UEFA category four football stadium that can accommodate 20,000 spectators is being completed in Batumi.
