2020-07-07

As a result of Georgia-Germany cooperation, a settlement for refuges is under construction in Marneuli. 31 houses will be provided to refugee families after many years of living in dilapidated buildings.

Besides Marneuli, 122 new homes will be built on land lots owned by refugee families throughout Georgia.
Grants will be also issued to provide sources of income for refugee families.

Besides providing housing for refugees, the project, financed by German KfW Development Bank, also seeks to promote their social integration and economic/educational empowerment. The project is implemented by the Danish Refugee Council within the framework of Georgia-Germany financial cooperation.
