Examinees Will be able to take the exam without wearing face masks Print Version

2020-07-03

The rules governing the Unified National Examinations, the Masters' Graduate Entry Examinations, the Student Grant Competition, and the Subject Examinations have been clarified.

Having taken their seat at the examination table, examinees will be given the opportunity to write the exam without a face mask. This opportunity is provided by the protective shields attached to the tables, thermal screening, maintaining the appropriate distance, and the strict observance of all the recommendations for the prevention of the spread of the coronavirus.

Also, air conditioning is allowed during natural ventilation (open windows). This has been specified in accordance with the recommendations issued by the Ministry of Healthcare and the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).

Wearing a face mask is mandatory when the air conditioning is operating.

When using the air conditioner, it is mandatory to maintain:
Physical distance;
Hand hygiene;
Respiratory etiquette;
The mandatory use of face masks;
The stream of air from the air conditioning system must not be aimed directly at people;
It is necessary for the windows to be open at all times. This is mandatory even without air conditioning because the risk of virus transmission is high in an enclosed space.

Examinees and supervisors will only be admitted to 50% of the area of each examination sector. Each table will be equipped with a transparent protective shield/barrier on the front side. The distance between the tables widthwise will be at least 2 meters, while the distance between the tables in a row will amount to 1 meter.

It should be noted that all the rules pertaining to health safety that the applicants must follow in the examination areas remain in force.

According to the strict instructions of the Ministry of Healthcare and the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health:
Face masks must be worn in the examination center:
Before taking a seat at the table;
When leaving the examination sector;
When communicating with other people;
When the air conditioning is operating.
If the examinee has a temperature above 37.0 degrees Celsius or any respiratory symptoms, he/she will be obligated to wear a face mask at the examination center at all times.

The 2020 Unified National Examinations for prospective university students will begin on 6 July and end on 25 July. The Students' Grant Competition will take place on 25 July, while the Masters' Graduate Entry Examinations will be held from 1 August through 4 August.

For prospective teachers, the examination process will begin on 22 July and end on 30 July.
