Autobahn construction pace will double
The given decision to double autobahn construction speed was made during the regular meeting of the Economic Council held at the Prime Minister's Office. The members of Economic Board discussed the ongoing economic processes. As it was mentioned during the session, in October-November of current year indications of economic growth have been noticed. In the reported period turnover of the VAT payer enterprises has increased by 5,4% and 14,4% accordingly. The fact that growth rate is determined by activation of private sector, including construction business, - is very important. Import of construction materials has been also increased.
The Economic Council at the Prime Minister's Office also discussed issues in relation to autobahn construction. Next year it is planned to double speed of autobahn construction. In 2014 the current three sectors being under construction, will be added Agara-Zemo Osiauri, Samtredia - Grigoleti and Kobuleti bypass roads - Makhinjauri highway construction segments.
During the meeting situation with regard to gas and oil sphere in Georgia was discussed as well.
