Prime Minister Meets Klaus Gerhaeusser Print Version

The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili met with Klaus Gerhaeusser  - Director General of the Central and Western Asian Department of the Asian Development Bank.

The meeting was held at the State Chancellery and was attended by the Minister of Finances Nodar Khaduri. The Asian Development Bank will allot concessional financial resources in the amount of
$171 million to Georgia. On December 19, Georgia and Asian Development Bank signed agreements on funding infrastructural projects representing great importance for Georgia.

The Prime Minister of Georgia Thanked Mr. Klaus  Gerhaeusser for the assistance that Asian Development Bank renders to Georgia and expressed his hope that this support will continue in future.
„We think that in spring of 2014 it will be possible to organize investment (business) forum in Georgia. Within the framework of the forum it will be possible to meet with about 300 representatives of private and state sector, development institutions, business associations, chambers of commerce and other relevant organizations. Georgia has a great potential to be the platform for doing business throughout the region. I hope that Asian Development bank will promote revealing the role of Georgia among its member countries and will become a bridge between Georgia and Asian countries," - stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.
