Meeting of the Government as of January 13, 2011

Meeting of the Government as of January 13, 2011 On January 13, 2011 was held the meeting of the Georgian Government. The agenda included 61 items.
Before the meeting started, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Nika Gilauri, informed the public about a decision of the International Monetary Fund. We present the Prime Minister's speech:

"Good day.

Before we go to the issues on the agenda, I would like to give the public and members of the government a piece of news about the International Monetary Fund. Yesterday, the Fund held a meeting of the Supervisory Board which was dedicated to Georgia. The results are very satisfactory. The Board of the IMF approved of Georgia's economic policy of 2010 and 2011 and the results of economic growth in 2010. It was emphasized that in 2010 they did not expect such economic growth, and they approved of the 2011 budget. The budget deficit has decreased even more. While the budget deficit was 9.2% in 2009, we ended the year 2010 with 6%, and the budget deficit of 2011 has been decreased even more and pushed down to 4.3%.

Based on these conclusions, the IMF approved an additional $153 million which we can use at any time we need it. I would like to thank the members of the Board of the IMF and its representatives in Georgia."
