Prime-minister of Georgia, Nika Gilauri visited MestiaOn 2 November 2011, Prime Minister of Georgia, Nika Gilauri visited Mestia. The Prime-ministerPrime-minister of Georgia, Nika Gilauri visited Mestia with the Minister of Energy examined high voltage line being under construction. He introduced to the projects that will be implemented to Mestia next year. Nika Gilauri also met with the local population.

"Mestia represents a good example of cooperation between the state and the private sector, the state taking his first action started the rehabilitation project. 32 buildings are in the process of restoration; also construction project of piazza, the private sector has followed our steps. Today, three hotels are being constructed under private initiative, in which 84 rooms will be placed; the fourth hotel will be built next to them. The private sector has also seen that this is a good place for business. More tourists will come here, more people will be employed and the private sector is implementing investments"-stated the Prime-minister after the visit to Mestia.
