The reform shall deal with more than 670 thousand pensioners and 24 thousand handicapped persons. We made the decision in spring; we have mobilized up to GEL 35 million and GEL 13 million shall be added to social budget per month.

This is very important that during the last 4-5 years the amount of pension has increased seven times. Not long ago, sum of pension amounted to Gel 14. After that, this was increased several times: GEL 28, GEL 55.
Today, we can say that minimal sum of pension will amount to GEL 100 in Georgia."

Andrew Urushadze: "From September 15, every branch of serving bank will be ready to issue pensions with increased amount. All pensioners who are not able to get to the bank branches for this or that reason will be provided by bringing their pensions at home by our serving bank.

This is one of the forms of service, we offer those pensioners who are not able to walk. Technically and logistically everything is ready in order that the task received by our Ministry to be fulfilled in the established terms."
