We can see that in contrast with the previous week, the number of infected is rising very fast. If we were detecting 1900 cases a day in the early last week, we have almost 3000 new cases today. Inter-Agency Coordination Council ruled to tighten the regulations and introduce precision-targeted restrictions on November 7, 2020. And namely, mobility will be banned from 22:00 to 05:00 in large cities of the country: Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Rustavi, Zugdidi, Gori and Poti. Restriction applies to both walking and driving. It was announced by Alexandre Khojevanishvili, Head of the Task Force operating at the Inter-Agency Coordination Council at a press-briefing held after the Inter-Agency Coordination Council Meeting at the Government Administration today.

He also spoke specifically about directions that are not subject to restrictions.

"This measure does not apply to certain directions: international cargo transportation, mobility of passengers and vehicles with a clearance of the Task Force if and when of critical importance for delivering official duties at pharmaceutical and healthcare facilities, institutions of strategic significance and media outlets, as well as the catering service delivery staff" announced Alexandre Khojevanishvili.

Head of the Task Force operating at the Inter-Agency Coordination Council also noted that municipal and private kindergartens suspended operation in the referred large cities.

He also noted that comprehensive information on the established restrictions is readily accessible to citizens of the country at the common government hotline at 144.

"Municipal and private kindergartens have suspended operation in the referred cities. Also, special measures have been made to reduce the number of passengers in municipal transports of these cities. Transportation will be limited during the day. Comprehensive information on the established restrictions is available to citizens of the country at the common government hotline at 144. Also, our citizens will be entitled to obtain one-off entrance passes if and when movement is required after 22:00 in cases of emergency by calling the common government hotline at 144-1. This extension will come into action from 18:00 tonight. Additional precision-targeted restrictions may be introduced on the grounds of epidemiologic condition and compliance with rules on wearing the facemasks, distancing, including those during the political process" stated Alexandre Khojevanishvili.
