Aleksandre Khojevanishvili: 2,295 New Confirmed Cases of Infection Have Been Detected in Last 24 Hours; 2,537 People Have Recovered Print Version

As of today, 2,295 new confirmed cases of infection have been identified in the last 24 hours, Aleksandre Khojevanishvili, head of the Task Force operating under the Interagency Coordination Council stated at a briefing at the Administration of the Government.
He discussed the latest statistics on the coronavirus, as well as the measures implemented by the government in the last 24 hours.
"As of today, 2,295 new confirmed cases of infection have been identified in the last 24 hours. A total of 46,817 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been detected in the country since the first case of infection.

We are maintaining a positive dynamic in terms of the increase of the number of recoveries as of today as well. Namely, 537 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, and the total number of recoveries has increased to 31,170.
Unfortunately, 19 people have died in the last 24 hours, including 2 in Tbilisi, 9 in Adjara, 6 in Imereti, 1 in Shida Kartli, and 1 in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti. A total of 381 people have died since 26 February 2020.

The geographic breakdown of the 2,295 cases of infection that were detected today is as follows: 989 in Tbilisi, 387 in Adjara, 387 in Imereti, 166 in Kvemo Kartli, 133 in Shida Kartli, 27 in Guria, 97 in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 47 in Kakheti, 33 in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 29 in Samtskhe-Javakheti, and no new cases in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.

At this stage, the number of active cases of infection stands at 15,240. 4,355 people are being treated in hospitals, including 2,117 people in the hospitals of Tbilisi, and 690 in Adjara. 569 patients are in a serious condition, including 283 people in Tbilisi and 84 in Adjara. Of them, 238 people are on ventilators, including 119 people in Tbilisi and 72 in Adjara. 2,428 people are being treated at COVID hotels, including 1,180 people in Adjara and 878 in Tbilisi. 8,457 people are receiving treatment at home.

We have 3,004 people in quarantine, including 612 people in Tbilisi and 1,392 in Adjara.
A total of 11,723 people have been transferred from the border between 6 October and 3 November.
As of today, 28,330 people are in self-isolation, of whom 2,735 people are located in Tbilisi, 12,427 in Adjara, and 4,025 in Imereti," Aleksandre Khojevanishvili stated.
