Natia Mezvrishvili: The Prime Minister Spoke About all the Challenges Facing the Country, Primarily Russian Occupation and the Humanitarian Crisis in Which Our Citizens Affected by the Occupation Have To Live Every Day Print Version

Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia addressed world leaders with clear and principled messages from the highest rostrum of the United Nations, Head of Government Administration Natia Mezvrishvili stated while assessing the Prime Minister's speech at the 75th Session of the UN General Assembly.
According to her, the Prime Minister spoke about all the challenges that the country is facing today.

"First of all, this is Russian occupation and the humanitarian crisis in which our citizens affected by the occupation have to live every day. The Prime Minister thanked UN member states for the support we always receive from our friendly countries, noting that today, against the backdrop of continuing illegal borderization, the consolidation of their support is becoming even more important so that the world, through joint efforts, can force Russia to comply with international norms and [fulfill] assumed obligations. In this context, it was especially noted that the resolution in support of Georgia has gained unprecedented support from UN member states, which is undoubtedly the result of the effective work of our foreign policy and diplomacy," Natia Mezvrishvili stated.

As Natia Mezvrishvili pointed out, while discussing global challenges, world leaders focused on the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and Giorgi Gakharia shared Georgia's successful example in terms of the fight against the virus with UN member states.
"The Prime Minister stressed that this success is the result of the selfless work of the authorities, our doctors and epidemiologists and, most importantly, the high social responsibility of our citizens. The Prime Minister once again reminded the international community that Georgia is an integral part of European civilization and that the path of our country's development goes through European and Euro-Atlantic integration," Natia Mezvrishvili stated.
