EUvsDisinfo in Georgia is the name of a conference, which continues in Tbilisi. First part of the session today is focused on the Strengthened Practical Response in EU Neighborhood. Representatives of international organizations working in the medium of strategic communication share their experience with participants of the conference.
One of the topics of discussion at the international conference is ways and methods for strengthening EU approaches to disinformation within the EU Action Plan. Parallel sessions are held today on the Role of the Youth in Solving the Problem of Disinformation. Young European Ambassadors from countries of the Eastern Partnership (EaP), EU member states and Young Georgian EU Club members are participating in the event.
Conference is jointly organized by the EU and Government Administration of Georgia. It is aimed at analyzing the threats born by disinformation within the EU and its neighborhood, along with a facilitated coordination of actions. Experts working on the topics of disinformation and strategic communication, representatives of the civil society and media outlets are discussing capacity building of EU institutions on fighting against disinformation, strengthened joint response agenda, mobilization of the private sector and public awareness on the topics of concern.
