The goal of the delegation's visit was to share Georgia's institutional experience in protecting human rights. The delegation's members familiarized themselves with the work specifics of the Interagency Council for Human Rights and the Human Rights Secretariat of the Administration of the Government of Georgia. As part of the visit, special attention was paid to the development and implementation of the National Human Rights Strategy and the Governmental Action Plan on Human Rights,

The Armenian colleagues studied closely the aspects pertaining to the work of the Human Rights Secretariat of the Administration of the Government of Georgia. The delegation received information about the coordination between various governmental institutions working on human rights, and about their successful cooperation with civil society.

In addition, the delegation familiarized itself with Georgia's measures seeking to nationalize SDGs and steps taken toward their implementation. The Armenian colleagues were also introduced to the successful performance of Georgia's Public Service Halls.

The delegation's members held meetings with representatives of governmental institutions, the Parliament of Georgia, UN agencies, and the Public Defender's Office. The Armenian delegation concluded its visit by meeting with a representative of the Office of the UN High Commissioner on January 23.
