The importance and prospects of Georgia-US relations and the country's democratic development and pro-Western trajectory were some of the topics discussed by the Georgian Prime Minister's Foreign Adviser Tedo Japaridze at the conference titled The 100th Anniversary of the First Georgian Republic: Georgia's Past, Present and Future. The event was held at the US Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC.

During one of the conference's panel discussions, Tedo Japaridze delivered a speech together with former Deputy Secretary of State and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Levan Mikeladze Foundation Richard Armitage.

The Prime Minister's Adviser, in his speech, emphasized the country's historic achievements, pointing out that Georgia has always been committed to the pro-Western trajectory and values.

The conference at the US Center for Strategic and International Studies was dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the First Georgian Republic.

The event's participants also included Deputy Assistant Secretary in the State Department's Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Bridget Brink, Georgia's Ambassador to the US Davit Bakradze, former US Ambassadors to Georgia, representatives of America's research organizations and expert communities, and the event's organizers, the Georgian Association in the USA, Levan Mikeladze Foundation, and others.
