On October 26, the Prime Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri met with Zhang Dejiang, the Vice-Prime Minister of the Chinese government. At the meeting the parties considered the wide range of economic and political issues.

 

The governments of both countries are satisfied with friendly relations between them and common views in most of the issues of international diplomacy. Besides, as it was noted during the meeting, the economic relations between both countries develop in a successful manner; however, the potential of further growth is large.

The Vice Prime Minister of China noted that the Chinese government stimulates and calls on the Chinese companies to deepen cooperation with Georgia and make investments there.

Nika Gilauri proposed to support direct air flights between two countries, which promotes the tourism and investors' visits between Georgia and China. The Chinese side thinks to use the airport of Tbilisi as the transit point for flights made from China to Europe.
