On February 12-17, 2010 Mr. Nika Gilauri, the Prime Minister of Georgia was on a business visit to the United Arab Emirates and on an official visit to Kuwait. The chief aim of the visits was to stimulate and strengthen the economic relations with these countries.
During his official visit to Kuwait Mr. Gilauri met the Emir, Prime Minister, Ministers and the Speaker of the Parliament of the country. The subject matter of such meetings concerned the export of Georgian agricultural products, namely Georgian waters and fruits and vegetables to the mentioned countries.
Furthermore, during his visit to Kuwait Mr. Gilauri held meetings at investment funds of the country. At the meetings the parties discussed all possibilities of attracting Kuwait investments to the Georgian energy sector, infrastructure and retail trade.
