On January 19-21, 2010 Nika Gilauri, the Prime Minister of Georgia was on an official visit to Egypt.
Within the visit the Prime Minister of Georgia met Mrs. Fayza Abou El Naga - the Minister of International Cooperation of Egypt, and Mr. Ahmed Abou El Gheit - the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt.
Furthermore, there was a meeting between the Prime Minister of Georgia and Mr. Ahmed Nazif - the Prime Minister of Egypt organized. 
The parties discussed certain economic projects and talked about the investment environment.
"The projects that we discussed at the meeting are very interesting. It is likely to import Georgian wine and Georgian Borjomi into Egypt. We also talked about power engineering. They expressed their huge interest in the perspective regarding hydro-construction in Georgia. We talked about transit magistral connecting Egypt with Central Asia. Kazakhstan and Egypt are engaged in intensive trade. Here Georgia may perform an important role," - noted Nika Gilauri after the meeting with the Prime MInister of Egypt.
Moreover, the Prime Minister took a part in Georgia-Egypt business forum.
