The Prime-Minister introduced a new Head of the Press Service Print Version

 Prime-Minister introduced a new Head of the Press Service Nikoloz Mchedlishvili On February 2, 2010 the Georgian Prime-Minister introduced a new Head of the Press Service Nikoloz Mchedlishvili to journalists.

Nika Gilauri stated that the journalists were well acquainted with the new Head of the Press Service. For the last 12 years he has been working with the information agency "Reuters" and currently, he has been finishing a French Grenoble Ecole de Management, Master's Degree.

According to the Prime Minister, he has been connected with Nikoloz Mchedlishvili for a long time, even, when he headed up the Energy and Finance Ministries. Nika Gilauri stated that the key obligations of Nikoloz Mchedlishvili would be furnishing journalists with maximum information on day-to-day activity of the Government.

"Nikoloz Mchedlishvili will be liable to meet you, journalists, once a week and answer all your questions arising within this week. It will be one of his principal function to permanently keep you in the picture with respect to what happens in the Government and in the PM's office. Should you have any questions concerning different ministries, this person will act as your personal direct contact agent at every turn," said the Prime-Minister.

Prior to speaking before the journalists the new Head of the Press Service Nikoloz Mchedlishvili stated that he would continue close cooperation with the press representatives in the same manner as he was doing over the years.

"To ensure good public awareness with regard to the daily activity of the Government through you, much more information will be directed towards you, I'll try my best therefor," - stated Nikoloz Mchedlishvili.
