The first meeting of the Government of the renewed Cabinet of Ministers was held on February 10. The Agenda covered 46 issues.
Prior to beginning of the meeting the Prime Minister gave assignments to each head of different departments. "Today we have the first meeting of the Government, in a renewed format and composition. First of all, I want to repeat the yesterday's assignment which I gave the Finance Minister and the all ministries. The available administration costs, namely, travel allowances, mobile phone fees, fuel, office repair and the costs spent for purchase of cars. We must reduce the said costs to the maximum extent. I know that certain reserves are available. The said funds will help us to create new work places. I also ask and assign the ministers to present an Action Plan covering this year till the end within the next three weeks. Upon approval thereof at the Meeting of the Government, the Plan will be presented to the society, even by live broadcast. It will be a schedule and will show how we evaluate ourselves and the Government. And the society will be able to assess the work of each ministry during the year. For example, announcement of tenders must be made according to days and months, when it is opened and the deadline, etc. , what new laws, regulations and amendments we will present in the area where this or that ministry is engaged. Within the next three weeks I want hear a detailed Action Plan of all the ministries and ministers at the Meeting of the Government which will cover this year till the end and will be made according to months. I want to introduce Vice -Premiers to the society. The position of the First Vice - Premier will be held by Dato Tkeshelashvili, and Vice Premiers will be Gia Baramidze and Temur Iakobashvili", said Nika Gilauri.
