On Establishment of Working Group for Elaboration of Concept of Reform of Georgian Statistics System
On December 3 was established the working group for elaboration of concept of reform of Georgian statistics system with participation of independent experts. The goal of the group is to elaborate the concept of reform of the Georgian statistics system which will provide independence of the official statistics and use of statistical methods conforming to the international standards.
With the purpose of elaboration of such concept the said group held meetings with business representatives, international donors and civil society. The meetings with MPs are also planned.
At the today meeting the working group will present the first variant of the concept of reform to the prime Minister.
The group will work until the end of January and will present to the Government of Georgia the final variant of the reform of the statistics system reform.
