Government of Georgia – Appearance 2009

It is well-known that due to worsening of the health condition of the Prime Minister at the beginning of January, he underwent instrumental and laboratory examination in Germany. The German physicians diagnosed his illness as nephropathy (inflammatory process of kidneys caused by infection) and recommended him to undergo a four-week treatment.

January 17, morning, Gega Mgaloblishvili was admitted to the Republican Hospital of Tbilisi. He had hypertension, headache and general discomfort. He underwent laboratory and paraclinical examinations (ECG, cardiac ultrasound, etc). ECG showed that the Prime Minister had little ischemic symptoms which were corrected by drug therapy in a very short run. January 19, 20:00, the prime Minister was discharged from the Clinic. Now his condition is satisfactory and he does not need in-patient treatment.

On January 19 thanks to telemedicine support, consultation was arranged with the German specialists. They decided that the Prime Minister should go to Germany again for assessment of his treatment process.
