The Meeting of the Government of Georgia was held on 18 June 2008. The agenda of the Meeting consisted of 13 items.
At the commencement of the Meeting, Prime Minister of Georgia Vladimer Gurgenidze said: at this Meeting, the Government will discuss the changes to be made in the Law of Georgia on the 2008 State Budget of Georgia as well as the package of the draft laws, which are aimed at tax cutting. We have developed quite a careful and balanced version that following the discussions at the Parliament may undergo certain modifications and finally turn out to be even quite radical. Besides, the package includes 2-3 specific measures, changes in laws aimed to foster the development of the winemaking and winegrowing sectors in Georgia. It is very important and timely, as vintage is drawing near.
