Thursday, June 23, the Georgian Prime Minister Mr. Zurab Nogaideli met the acting Chairman of Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium Mr. Karel De Gucht.
They spoke about the situation existing in Tskhinvali Region. The guest shared his impressions in connection with his visit to Tskhinvali region. According to him, the infrastructure of the region is in the most poor condition and he thinks that the funds attracted as the result of Donors Conference will significantly contribute to improvement of the situation. According to the parties, implementation of rehabilitation projects must begin as soon as possible. The Prime Minister confirmed that the Government of Georgia was ready to allocate additional funds to finance rehabilitation of the region. Zurab Nogaideli hoped that successful implementation of economic projects would build an appropriate environment for the parties to help them reach agreement on other most important issues.
