PM's visit to Mtsketa-Mtianeti

On June 24 the Prime Minister of Georgia was in Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region.

Zurab Nogaideli's visit started with check on of the rehabilitation works of Tskhaverichamia, Tbilisi-Tianeti and Tbilisi-Akhalgori. The project is funded by the World Bank and construction of the 22-kilometer section will be finished in September. "We drove through the repaired and non-repaired roads. There are still many open problems, but the main thing is that many important things have been done and serious investments have been made this year", said Zurab Nogaideli.

The Prime Minister visited Dusheti Water Supply Headworks, checked on the progress of rehabilitation works of water supply of Iveri and Aragvi Rivers. Then Zurab Nogaideli went to Zhinvali when he inspected the facility damaged by flood last year.

The Prime Minister visited Ksani Glass Plant, Natakhtari Airport and Beer Plant NATAKHTARI. Zurab Nogaideli holds that there is progress and headaway in the region: "As compared to the last year there much more work places there, the travel (tourist) potential has been developing and many problems are being settled piecemeal".

At the end of the visit Zurab Nogaideli attended presentation of the current projects implemented in the Region.
