Visit of Head of EU Observers Mission to Georgia

On September 22, 2008 the Prime Minister of Georgia Vladimer Gurgenidze met the head of EU observers' mission, German diplomat Hans Joerg Haber.

Vladimer Gurgenidze welcomed the leaders of EU observers' mission and noted that their visit was very important.

"It is very important that they will not miss any day and will start their work immediately. They have informed us in details at what stage they are now. Any day we will wait for the visit of the main forces of observers and their accomodation in Georgia.

The mission representatives asked if there are any logistic problems here but as we see everything is okay. From October 1 the European Union observers' mission will start its full-fledged activity.

Noteworthy is that out of 27 member states of the European Union 22 expressed their wish to take part in the observers mission, - noted the Prime Minister of Georgia.
