Kakha Bendukidze Meets Representatives of International Organizations in Georgia

On September 4 at the Chancellery of the Government was held the meeting on the issues on the return and accomodation of refugees and internally displaced persons as a result of military operations.

Head of the Chancellery of the Government Kakha Bendukidze met the delegation of international representations and missions.

The meeting was attended by the minister for refugees and accomodation of Georgia Tamar Martiashvili, USAID mission director in Georgia Robert Wilson, UNDP Resident Representative in Georgia Robert Watkins, Rosalinda Quintanilla, the WB senior economist for Europe and Central Asia, Farukh Khan, the WB economist, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Dr. Peter Nicolaus, Special Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Georgia Stefano Berti and other officials.

At the meeting were discussed the details how to provide the worthy living conditions to the persons internally displaced as a result of the military conflict between Georgia and Russia.

At the same time, they also discussed those concrete problems and ways of their solution which are related to accomodation of IDPs.

At this stage, the work on concrete activities with international organizations is in process and is very important for the successful implementation of those activities.
