We all remember this day marking a major tragedy for our country and population. On this day, June 13, many citizens died, and today we honor them and their memory. Once again, I extend my sympathy to their families. It is an enormous tragedy, indeed, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili stated at the memorial commemorating the victims of June 13-14, 2015 natural disaster in Vere Gorge.

Together with Tbilisi Mayor Kakhi Kaladze and Chairman of the Tbilisi Municipal Assembly Giorgi Tkemaladze, the Head of Government laid a wreath at the memorial and extended his condolences to the families of the victims.

Irakli Garibashvili emphasized that this tragedy united society as a whole, and youth exhibited unmatched solidarity at that time.

"On the other hand, this tragedy, as we remember, united our society, our people, our nation, and young people showed unbelievable solidarity those days. Of course, this day reminds us to be constantly mobilized and caring. Back then, the Government did everything for these families, as much as it was possible at the moment. Once again, I would like to honor their memory," the Prime Minister said.

Six years have passed since the Vere Gorge tragedy.
